Just sat down with hubby and planned out our meals for the week! We have learned so much and we have DROPPED our grocery bill from $250-300 a week to $100-$150.
Here are some tips I can share with you!
✔️ Buy less boxes & more REAL foods!
✔️ Circle the perimeter of the store rather than the aisles
✔️ Have a plan! (It takes 15 minutes to make a list , if you have at least your dinners planned you will be less opt to grab random stuff )
✔️ Weekly staples such as milk , eggs , cheese don't change much
✔️ Don't go to the grocery store hungry 😜
✔️ Have a budget (we take the cash in hand, we know what everything costs and we DON'T go over )
✔️ Don't take the kids! If you can , go alone or with just 1 kid, you will be in and out quicker and they like to get you off task ! (Mommy can I have this , can I have that ?)
✔️ Look at your cart at the end and pick out 3-5 items that wandered into your cart that you don't really need 😬
✔️ Allow some treats & fun but don't go overboard
✔️ Remember there is always next week , if you see something you like , put it on the plan for next week!
